Management Team

Walter Witoshkin, Executive Chairman, is an accomplished executive with 40-years experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and biomedical industries.  Mr. Witoshkin specialized in alternative sourcing for manufacturing and the acquisition of technologies and products.  Mr. Witoshkin holds executive positions with QuantRx Biomedical Corporation, a medical technology company with leading edge diagnostic and therapeutic technologies.  Mr. Witoshkin has previously held executive positions in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries including senior financial positions at Wyeth Labs (American Cyanimade), VP Business Development and CFO positions at SmithKline Beecham (now Glaxo SmithKline) and Menley & James Laboratories, Inc.  He is a founding partner of the Trident Group, a global consultancy to the pharmaceutical industry.

 

(Philip) Christopher Sommer, President and Chief Operating Officer, an innovative leader with over 15 years demonstrated expertise using analytical skills to solve complex business and technical problems.  Mr. Sommer’s key core competencies lie in financial analysis, business continuity planning, and operations management.  Previously at JPMorgan Chase, he was vice president of the North American Treasury Operations team and partnered in launching the Morgan On-Line e-commerce project.  In addition, he led teams through six mergers and divestitures in Treasury, Cash Management and Human Resources.  Previous experience includes Blackrock Equity Advisors where he led and coordinated projects in collaboration with auditors and attained compliance status for the mutual fund family.  Mr. Sommer holds a Bachelor of Science from Wilkes University.  Mr. Sommer joined the QuiqMeds team as CFO in 2007.

 

James Judd, MD, Chief Medical Officer, is Managing Partner of Hatboro Medical Associates, one of the region’s largest primary care practices, and has been prescribing and dispensing in his office for 7 years.  Dr. Judd is also a Clinical Instructor at Temple University, serves on the medical advisory board for a medical practice insurer, and is Board Certified, American Board of Family Practice.  Dr. Judd serves as an expert medical witness and principal investigator for clinical research.  Dr. Judd was part of QuiqMeds’ original founders group in 2004.

 

Mark Frankel, PhD, Director of System Design and Development, is a founding partner of Healthcare Executive Partners, specializing in high-level healthcare consulting.  Clients include Johnson and Johnson, Par Pharmaceuticals, Teva Pharmaceuticals, medical device companies, clinical informatics companies and service organizations.   Dr. Frankel is on the editorial board of Biotechnology Healthcare.  Dr. Frankel received his Doctoral degree in biochemistry from Thomas Jefferson University, and spent 12 years in medical research, specializing in Viral Immunology and Multiple Sclerosis at the Wistar Institute, part of the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Frankel also has extensive business experience having been Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing of an international manufacturing/distribution business.  Dr. Frankel was part of the original founders group in 2004.

 

Paul Lerman, Exec Vice President Client Service/ System Integration, is responsible for planning, design, training and installation of our system (hardware, network, computers and software). Mr. Lerman is president of System Design, his business that engineers presentation and teleconference centers for universities, hospitals and Fortune 500 companies; providing engineering, program design, contract documentation, and project management in coordination with architects and subcontractors. Mr. Lerman brings these people, project and technical skills to his leadership of Integrations. Mr. Lerman joined the QuiqMeds team in 2005.

 

Bonnie S Stys, Executive Vice President, Pharmaceutical Services brings 26 years of pharma industry experience to QuiqMeds. Ms. Stys worked in various capacities in operations, clinical trials and regulatory affairs at Merck & Co. for 14 years leaving as a Global Regulatory Drug Submission Specialist.  There she was in charge of the publication of Merck’s drug submissions to the FDA and International Drug Agencies. Since Merck, she has worked for several regional and national pharma and healthcare organizations including Omnicare, Albert Einstein Healthcare Network and Apyx, Inc.  Her experience has covered the behavioral health, long term care, acute/tertiary care and clinical trial areas, including e-drug submissions. Ms. Stys also has experience as a retail pharmacist.  Ms. Stys holds a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and has completed Executive Education at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  Ms. Stys joined the QuiqMeds team in 2007.

 

Craig Nurick, Vice President Sales, has a proven track record of building companies and generating revenue.  Craig spent over ten years in the medical device industry where he launched several new products, developed exclusive partnerships with manufacturers, and created a network of independent surgical companies.  Mr. Nurick regularly exceeded his revenue targets by creating a culture of responsibility and accountability on his team.  Most recently, Mr. Nurick built a successful real estate company with over $3 million in residential properties and developed a hotel to condominium conversion creating substantial returns for his investors.  Mr. Nurick is a graduate of Penn State University and lives in Plymouth Meeting with his wife and three daughters.
