QuiqMeds™ Installs First Work-Site Health Center - Orlando FL

BLUE BELL, PA - January 20, 2009

QuiqMeds™, a division of Quiq, Inc., based in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania has installed a system for Rosen Hotels’ Medical Center in Orlando, Florida. This site represents QuiqMeds’ first installation in northern Florida and first Work-Site Health Center.

The Rosen Medical Center has contracted with QuiqMeds to install and manage a bank of QuiqMeds Inventory Control Containers (ICC’s). The system is comprised of four delivery machines, to accommodate the required volume and the large formulary. These ICC’s are interconnected to act as two systems, one for in-house prescribing and one for mail-order Rx fulfillment. Each sub-system uses two ICC’s and has it’s own QuiqMeds Drug Release Interface (DRI) touchscreen computer and an HP color laser printer.

The QuiqMeds system is integrated with the client’s EMR (electronic medical records) system and allows Rosen Hotels’ employees to receive medication within the Work-Site medical clinic at the Rosen Medical Center facility.
