How it works
The QuiqMeds System is a turn-key service installed at the physician’s office. The main components of the system are a secure Inventory Control Center (ICC) and one or more touch screens. After entering a short security code, the physician touches the appropriate box on the touch screen to choose the drug, strength and dosing directions. The discharge desk staff or physician matches the patient with a QuiqMeds order and in just a few clicks, the pre-packaged, safety-sealed prescription is delivered at the QuiqMeds Inventory Control Center.
QuiqMeds software automatically produces personalized medication information sheets and medication labels to ensure patient safety. Color-coded security labels placed in the matching box on the information sheet assures that the appropriate drug is given to the patient.
The patient pays the indicated amount and receives the medication right at the point of care. There is no need for a separate trip to the pharmacy and no delay in beginning a medication therapy. There is no additional billing to a third party payer.
Inventory data in the QuiqMeds system is relayed via the internet to the QuiqMeds Customer Service Center. A customer service representative will restock the QuiqMeds system and replenish all supplies as needed. The QuiqMeds System is an easy way to provide quality, convenience and value to patients.
